Problémy

• Některé mobilní diffy mají problémy. Několik tlačítek není zobrazeno. Diffy strukturovaných dat na Commons jsou matoucí. Vývojáři pracují na opravě. [1][2]
• Správci projektů, které používají Strukturované diskuse nemohou přesouvat diskusní stránky. To je bug. Vývojáři pracují na opravě. [3]

Změny tento týden

• Tento týden nebude nasazena nová verze MediaWiki.

Budoucí změny

• There is JavaScript code on Special:Undelete for administrators that makes it possible to automatically select multiple checkboxes by holding the "Shift" key and clicking. This code is also loaded by accident on other special pages and on articles. This makes pages slower to load. This will be fixed. If you know of other special pages where this is useful please tell the developers at phab:T232688.

Growth team updates #12

Vítejte v dvanáctém newsletteru týmu Growth!

Cílem týmu Growth je pracovat na změnách v software, které pomohou udržet si více přispěvovatelů ve středně velkých projektech Wikimedia.

Obecné novinky

• Publikovali jsme materiály ze školení pro mentory. Školení poprvé proběhlo v české komunitě, a bylo dobře hodnoceno.
• Funkce vyvinuté týmem Growth byly nasazeny na maďarské, ukrajinské a arménské Wikipedii.

Nováčci editují konstruktivně s pomocí editačních tipů

První verze editačních tipů byla nasazena 20. listopadu, a první výsledky jsou vynikající!

Dokončené editační tipy podle jejich typu
Popisky grafu (svrchu dolů):
■ Korektura
■ Přidání odkazů
■ Rozšíření článku
■ Přidání reference
■ Pokročilé editace

• Asi 1,5 % nováčků, kteří navštíví svou Domovskou stránku, prošli editačními tipy a uložili nějakou editaci. Zatím jsme celkem na všech projektech napočítali přes 450 editací (z toho českých asi 60), které přišly jak z desktopu, tak z mobilu.
• Podívali jsme se na editace, kteří nováčci uložili, a zjistili jsme, že jsou vesměs pozitivní. Jsme potěšeni tím, že tato funkce nepřitahuje vandaly.
  • 75 % z editací je produktivních a nerevertovaných
  • 95 % editací vypadá jako uložená v dobré vůli
• Většina editací je o korekturách a přidávání odkazů, ale někteří nováčci se věnují i přidávání obsahu či referencí. Nejvíce jsou doporučovány korektury.
• Podrobnější výsledky Editačních tipů můžete nalézt tady.

Filtrování dle témat nasazeno

Výsledky našeho testování funkce ukázaly, že nováčci spíše dokončí editační tipy, pokud si mohou vybrat články týkající se tématu, které je samotné zajímá, například "věda", "hudba" nebo "sport".

• Možnost filtrovat dle témat byla nasazena 21. ledna. Nováčci tuto funkci již používají. Předpokládáme, že to zvýší množství dokončených editačních tipů, a že nováčci v editování skrz editační tipy budou pokračovat.
• V nejbližších týdnech budeme vylepšovat přesnost algoritmu, který používáme pro filtrování dle témat. Použijeme ORES.

Další kroky pro editační tipy

Navrhnout, jak panel Potřebuji pomoc bude vyskakovat zespodu stránky na mobilních telefonech, aby nabídl pomoc s plněním tipu.

Protože u editačních tipů vidíme pozitivní výsledky, tým Growth na ně soustředí svou pozornost, a bude povzbuzovat nováčky, aby se touto cestou vydali.

• Průvodce tipem: v nejbližší době použijeme panel Potřebuji pomoc, abychom nováčky provedli tipem a pomohli jim ho úspěšně dokončit, a povzbudit je, aby se po prvním tipu vrhli na další. V našem uživatelském testování byly demo videa jedním z nejpreferovanějších způsobů, a budeme přemýšlet o tom, jak by se dala přidat.
• Použití tipů: asi jen 20 % z nováčků, kteří svou Domovskou stránku navštíví, použije i editační tipy. Chceme zkusit různé rozvržení Domovské stránky, abychom povzbudili více nováčků editační tipy zkusit.
• Přidání dalších tipů: přemýšlíme o metodách, které by mohly navrhnout nováčkům více specifické tipy, například konkrétní odkazy, které by mohli přidat, nebo obrázek, který by mohli přidat.

Modul "Váš mentor" Domovské stránky nováčka

Milí kolegové,

až doposud byl mentor každému nováčkovi přidělen automaticky systémem. To se děje i nadále. Znáte-li ale některého z nováčků i mimo Wikipedii, nebo třeba vedete kurzy Wikipedie pro studenty či seniory, můžete chtít, abyste právě vy byli jejich mentorem.

Nově je možné právě tohoto dosáhnout! Návod, jak je možné nováčka převzít, je popsán na MediaWiki.org. Pomocí tohoto rozhraní je možné nastavit mentora jakémukoliv uživateli, i když náhodou nemá Domovskou stránku aktivovanou. V takovém případě je nutné, aby si dotyčný Domovskou stránku aktivoval sám - návod je rovněž k dispozici na MediaWiki.org.

Nedávné změny

• K dispozici je nová verze aplikace Wikimedia Commons pro Android. Problém s neúspěšným nahráváním by měl být opraven. [4]

Problémy

• Minulý týden se objevil problém s novou verzí MediaWiki. Některá hlášení byla omylem smazána. Nová verze byla nasazena později, aby se nejdříve opravily chyby. [5]

Změny tento týden

• MediaWiki Action API je využíváno boty a udělátky. Některé chybové kódy se změní. Některé hodnoty, které tento standard nedodržují, již nebudou fungovat. [6]
• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 11. února nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 12. února. Na všech wiki bude od 13. února (kalendář).

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 25. února nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 26. února. Na všech wiki bude od 27. února (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Pokud uživatel bude chtít, u každého příspěvku na diskusní stránce se mu objeví tlačítko odpovědět. Brzy to bude funkce v betaverzi na arabské, francouzské, nizozemské a maďarské Wikipedii. Funkci je nutné nejdříve zapnout. Později přibude i na další wiki. Funkci můžete otestovat. Minulý týden byla tato funkce na prvních čtyřech wiki omylem na krátkou dobu zapnutá.

Problémy

• Nepřihlášeným čtenářům se krátce zobrazovalo rozhraní v jazyce, který vybral jejich prohlížeč, ačkoliv to normálně je jazyk wiki. Problém se kvůli chybě na krátkou dobu objevil minulý týden. [9]

Změny tento týden

• Pokud zapomenete heslo, můžete si na e-mail nechat poslat nové. K tomu potřebujete znát svou e-mailovou adresu nebo své uživatelské jméno. Nyní si v nastavení budete moct vybrat, aby byla požadována znalost obojího. Tímto se sníží počet požadavků na obnovu hesla, o které žádá někdo jiný. [10]
• Když jste přes Speciální:Reset hesla požádali o nové heslo, mohlo se vám zobrazit, že uživatelské jméno neexistuje. Nyní vám stránka zobrazí uživatelské jméno, které jste zadali, a sdělí vám, že e-mail byl odeslán, pokud uživatelské jméno existuje. Tímto se zlepší bezpečnost. [11]
• Pomocí Speciální:Co odkazuje na se můžete podívat, které stránky odkazují na danou stránku a které z nich jsou přesměrování. U přesměrování nyní také uvidíte, na kterou sekci stránky přesměrovávají. [12]
• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 3. března nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 4. března. Na všech wiki bude od 5. března (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Vývojáři pracují na novém rozhraní řešení editačních konfliktů na diskusních stránkách. Můžete poskytnout zpětnou vazbu. [13]
• Od 1. do 31. března se bude hlasovat o vytvoření nové uživatelské skupiny správce filtrů zneužití.
• wgMFSpecialCaseMainPage, používaná na mobilním webu, je od roku 2017 zastaralá a v dubnu bude odstraněna. Wiki by si měly zjistit, zda ji používají, a pokud ano, měly by to opravit. Můžete si přečíst více a požádat o pomoc. Toto se týká 183 wiki, viz seznam. [14]

• Je dostupné nové vyhledávací slovo articletopic. Můžete jej použít k hledání článků na konkrétní téma. Je k dispozici na arabské, české, anglické a vietnamské Wikipedii. Brzy se dostane na další Wikipedie. [15][16][17]

• Byl představen plán nových požadavků pro uživatelské podpisy. Můžete poskytnout zpětnou vazbu.
• Aplikace Wikipedia pro Android bude uživatelům posílat oznámení typu push, pokud si to budou přát. Díky tomu budete moct například zjistit, že vám někdo napsal na diskusní stránku nebo zrušil vaši editaci. Funkce bude dostupná v letošním roce. [18]

Editační tipy se brzy dočkají dalších vylepšení

Milí kolegové,

Editační tipy jsou novou součástí Domovské stránky, která nováčkům doporučuje články, kterým by se mohli věnovat. Už teď je tyto články možné filtrovat podle typu (od přidání odkazu přes přidání obrázku až po aktualizaci/rozšíření článku) nebo podle tématu. Nadace Wikimedia se do Editačních tipů chystá přidat i průvodce, který nováčkům usnadní cestu ke splnění příslušného editačního tipu. Slibujeme si od toho, že množství nováčků, kteří editační tipy dokončí, se zvýší. Tento průvodce je v plánu pouze pro vizuální editor - považujeme ho za pro nováčky výrazně přijatelnější. Průvodce je zatím ve vývoji - jakmile bude k dispozici první verze k otestování, určitě se ozvu.

Myslíte si, že jsou editační tipy dobrou cestou? Co soudíte o připravovaném vylepšení? Jakoukoliv zpětnou vazbu uvítám na diskusní stránce projektu. Sami si editační tipy můžete vyzkoušet postupem popsaným na stránce o editačních tipech.

Milí kolegové,

jak jsem psal před pár dny, tým Growth se chystá do editačních tipů přidat průvodce, který nováčkům pomůže doporučenou editaci dokončit. Grafický návrh této nové funkcionality již je dokončen, a můžete si ho otevřít na stránce Editačních tipů (sekce Grafický návrh interaktivního průvodce (březen 2020)).

Rád bych vás požádal, abyste si prototypy vyzkoušeli, a napsali nám na diskusní stránku svůj názor. Velmi nám to pomůže při vývoji co nejlepšího produktu.

Nedávné změny

• Je dostupný nový API modul, kterým lze měnit model obsahu existujících stránek. Nový model nastavíte použitím action=changecontentmodel. Dokumentaci naleznete na mediawiki.org. [19]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 17. března nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 18. března. Na všech wiki bude od 19. března (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Pokud editujete stránku ve stejnou dobu jako někdo jiný, dojde k editačnímu konfliktu. Je dostupné nové dvousloupcové rozhraní, které usnadňuje jeho řešení. Brzy bude jako výchozí dostupné na německé, arabské a perské Wikipedii. V následujících měsících bude takto dostupné i na dalších wiki. Nové rozhraní si každý bude moct vypnout. [20][21]

Problémy

• Kvůli současné pandemii bude nasazování technických změn oproti plánům pomalejší. Můžete se podívat na jeho nová pravidla. Tímto se předejde rizikům, kdyby určití lidé byli nedostupní.
• Při přidávání interwiki odkazů se vyskytovaly problémy. Nástroj, který se k tomu používá, občas navrhoval propojení s nesprávným projektem. Problém je nyní vyřešen. [22][23]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 24. března nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 25. března. Na všech wiki bude od 26. března (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Vývojáři projektu, jehož cílem je usnadnit editaci nováčkům, zjišťují, jakými způsoby různé Wikipedie nováčky vítají. Také by chtěli vědět, které šablony se nejčastěji používají pro údržbové činnosti. Můžete tomuto projektu pomoct tím, že zkontrolujete, zda jsou odpovídající stránky vaší wiki uvedené na Wikidatech.

Nedávné změny

• Beta verze aplikace Wikipedia pro Android nyní může uživatelům pomoct označovat soubory na Commons. Tyto značky odpovídají funkci „zobrazuje“. [24]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 31. března nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 1. dubna. Na všech wiki bude od 2. dubna (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Přehrávač videí bude jednodušší a modernější. Přehrávač, který je nyní funkce v beta verzi, budou nyní používat všichni. Starý přehrávač bude odstraněn. [25]
• Byl zahájen projekt, jehož cílem je usnadnit používání šablon. V následujících týdnech budou vývojáři na stránce projektu představovat svoje nápady. Pokud máte zájem poskytovat zpětnou vazbu, můžete si stránku přidat mezi sledované. [26]

Editační tipy, jejich A/B testování a další osud

Milí kolegové,

už nějakou dobu nováčkům dělají společnost editační tipy. Aby se tým Growth dozvěděl co nejvíce o tom, co nováčci preferují, i editační tipy byly nasazeny v režimu A/B testování. Polovina nováčků si musela Editační tipy sama zapnout v části Začněte zde (varianta A; viz obrázek), druhé polovině nováčků byly Editační tipy zapnuté hned při načtení Domovské stránky (varianta B). V průběhu manuálního zapínání Editačních tipů Domovská stránka nováčka ve dvou oknech informuje, jak Editační tipy fungují (první; druhé).

Tým Growth dokončil analýzu prvního A/B testování Editačních tipů, a její výsledky jsou shrnuty na grafu vpravo. Varianta B (tj. zapnutí Editačních tipů hned při načtení Domovské stránce) se ukázala být jako výrazně efektivnější (alespoň na desktopových zařízeních). To je nejspíše způsobené tím, že Editační tipy tak zabíraly podstatnou část Domovské stránky, a nováčci je tak začali považovat za důležitější, než když jim v první fázi bylo vyhrazeno jen jedno tlačítko. Z jakého důvodu nenesou tyto změny stejné důsledky i na mobilních zařízeních týmu Growth zatím není známo. Máte-li nějakou hypotézu, napište mi.

Jak to bude s Editačními tipy vypadat dále? Tým Growth připravil varianty C a D, které učiní z Editačních tipů největší a nejdůležitější součást Domovské stránky. Ostatní moduly Domovské stránky (mentorský modul a modul dosahu příspěvků) V případě varianty C bude Domovská stránka obsahovat jen stručné vysvětlení, o co v editačních tipech jde, a tlačítkem pro jejich zapnutí (které zobrazí podobné okna, jako v případě vairanty B: první; druhé). V případě varianty D pak bude Domovská stránka obsahovat rovnou Editační tipy jako takové. Chceme tím otestovat, zda by pro nováčky nebylo ideální, kdyby představovací okna přeci jen viděli - a aby jim zároveň bylo jasně dáno najevo, co se od nich na Domovské stránce čeká. Kromě toho také nadále usilovně pracujeme na editačním průvodci, který by s dokončením editačních tipů nováčkům pomohl.

Co si o připravovaných změnách myslíte vy? Mohou nováčkům pomoci, nebo spíše uškodit? A jaké pocity z Editačních tipů máte zatím vy? Jakékoliv komentáře či otázky uvítám na diskusní stránce.

Problémy

• Kvůli chybě se na desktopu nezobrazovaly uživatelské stránky. Problém bude brzy vyřešen. [27]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 7. dubna nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 8. dubna. Na všech wiki bude od 9. dubna (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• MediaWiki bude používat novější verzi normy Unicode. K některým písmenům tak nově přibude ekvivalentní velké písmeno. Názvy začínající na některé z těchto písmen bude nutné přesunout. Seznam těchto názvů naleznete ve Phabricatoru. Názvy začne 13. dubna 2020 přesunovat uživatel Maintenance script. Chcete-li, můžete je přesunout ještě předtím, pokud se nový název liší od toho, na který by je přesunul skript. [28]

Poslední technické novinky z technické komunity Wikimedia. Prosíme, informujte o těchto změnách ostatní uživatele. Některé změny se vás netýkají. K dispozici jsou i další překlady.

Nedávné změny

• Vyhledávací slovo articletopic, které vyhledává články podle tématu, nyní můžete používat na všech Wikipediích. [29]
• Nástroje používané na wiki si můžete prohlédnout v nové Tools Gallery. [30]
• Editace provedené prostřednictvím Wikimedia Cloud Services jsou zaznamenávány na nové nástěnce.
• Když v historii stránky použijete filtry, občas se vám nezobrazí žádné editace. Nyní uvidíte vysvětlující text, který tam předtím nebyl. [31]
• Vznikl Wikimedia Technical Blog, nový blog o technických záležitostech. [32]

Problémy

• Minulý týden se objevil problém s databází Wikidat. Kvůli tomu byly některé wiki 20 minut nedostupné, na Wikidatech a ostatních projektech se zobrazovaly chybové zprávy, nezobrazovaly se interwiki odkazy, nefungovaly některé nástroje a vyskytovaly se další problémy. Některé byly vyřešeny rychle. Vývojáři pracují na opravě zbylých. [33][34][35]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 14. dubna nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 15. dubna. Na všech wiki bude od 16. dubna (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Některé grafy nefungují na mobilech. Problém bude brzy vyřešen. [36]
• Záložka na diskusních stránkách k přesměrováním odkazuje na cíl přesměrování, i když by možná místo toho měla odkazovat na stránku přesměrování. Můžete se k tomu vyjádřit.
• Stránky se zvýrazňováním syntaxe, které používají zastaralou značku <source> nebo zastaralý parametr enclose, budou zařazeny do sledovacích kategorií.

Nové varianty Domovské stránky - co si o nich myslíte?

Milí kolegové,

jak nejspíše víte, nováčci mají ze svého uživatelského jména přístupnou Domovskou stránku. Jednou z jejich součástí jsou Editační tipy, které mají za cíl nováčkům zábavnou formou vysvětlit, jak (a co) by mohli editovat tak, aby se snáze mohli stát členem Wikimedia komunity.

Aby se nováčci mohli plně soustředit právě na Editační tipy, Nadace Wikimedia se z Editačních tipů udělat hlavní součást Domovské stránky. Jeden z návrhů (varianta C) je na obrázku vpravo, další jsou k dispozici na stránce o Domovské stránce.

Jaký z těchto návrhů se vám líbí více? Myslíte si, že je toto krok správným směrem? Jakékoliv připomínky uvítám na diskusní stránce.

Nedávné změny

• Malým wiki, kterým chybí technické schopnosti, mohou pomoct sady nástrojů pro malé wiki. Prostřednictvím nich se mohou učit a sdílet technické dovednosti. [37]
• Ze vzhledů, které používá Wikimedia, byly odstraněny překvalifikované CSS selektory. div#content je nyní .mw-body. div.portal je nyní .portal. div#footer je nyní #footer. Díky tomu mohou vzhledy používat elementy z HTML5. Pokud je vaše udělátka nebo uživatelské styly používají, bude potřeba je aktualizovat. [38]

• Tento týden nebude nasazena nová verze MediaWiki.

Budoucí změny

• V budoucnu mohou v Internet Exploreru 8 některé věci na wiki vypadat divně nebo přestat fungovat. Internet Explorer 8 byl nahrazen v roce 2011. [39]
• Změní se styl písma v rozdílech změn. [40]
• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 28. dubna nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 29. dubna. Na všech wiki bude od 30. dubna (kalendář).

Nedávné změny

• Všichni uživatelé nyní mohou nahrávat soubory z Flickru na Commons pomocí průvodce načítáním souboru. Předtím to mohli dělat pouze automaticky schválení uživatelé. [44]

Problémy

• Commons bude kvůli údržbě databáze dne 12. května kolem 05:00 UTC po dobu několika minut možné pouze číst. [45]
• Některé projekty včetně Wikidat bude kvůli údržbě databáze dne 19. května kolem 05:00 UTC po dobu několika minut možné pouze číst. Na anglické Wikipedii proběhne to samé 21. května v 05:00 UTC. [46][47]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 12. května nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 13. května. Na všech wiki bude od 14. května (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• JavaScriptové skripty a udělátka už nebudou moct používat mw.config.exists() nebo mw.user.tokens.exists() pro kontrolu více hodnot najednou. V jednom volání exists() a get() budete moct získat pouze jednu hodnotu. [48]

Komunitní konzultace: Strukturované editace

Milí kolegové,

tým Growth uvažuje o dalším (pod)projektu: Strukturovaných editacích. Velká část nováčků odchází proto, že nemohou přijít na to, jak, či co, by na Wikipedii měli dělat. Napadlo nás proto přijít s nápadem, jak to změnit: jednotlivé úkoly vhodné pro nováčky strukturalizovat tak, aby je bylo možné provést bez nutnosti jakékoliv wiki-dovednosti. Během uvažování, jak na to, nás napadly dva způsoby: průvodce existujícím editorem, anebo nový editor, který by nováčky provedl pouze jedním konkrétním typem úkolu, což by umožnilo snížit počet kroků nutných k uložení úkolu. Jelikož oba dva přístupy mají svá pro i proti, a jelikož toto rozhodnutí projekt zásadně ovlivní, rozhodli jsme se spustit měsíční komunitní konzultaci, a nejprve ¨¨sesbírat názory komunity.

Rád bych, abyste si přečetli českou projektovou stránku a zapojili se do komunitní konzultace. Poté vaše komentáře shrnu, a na základě vašich připomínek a připomínek dalších jazykových verzí Wikipedie bude probíhat další vývoj Strukturovaných editací. O tom budu informovat formou newsletteru. V případě, že vás napadnou jakékoliv nejasnosti týkající se projektu budu rád, když mi napíšete.

Předmětem práce týmu Growth je pracovat na změnách v software, které pomohou udržet si více přispěvovatelů ve středněvelkých projektech Wikimedia.

Připojte se k diskusi: strukturované editace

Návrh nápadu strukturovaného přidávání odkazů do článku. Cílem je pomoci nováčkům uložit více editací.

Rádi bychom, aby se do diskuse o novém projektu zapojila komunita. Chceme, aby pro nováčky bylo jednoduché články editovat.

V našem předchozím newsletteru jsme mluvili o produktivních editacích, provedených v rámci projektu Editačních tipů. Tyto dobré výsledky nadále pokračují: asi 900 nováčků již uložilo přes 5000 editačních tipů. Nováčky editační tipy baví.

Nyní přemýšlíme, jak nováčkům předat seznam jednoduchých editací, na kterých se mohou naučit editovat. Nazvali jsme tento nápad Strukturovanými editacemi. Tento projekt obnáší rozdělení editací na jednotlivé kroky, které jsou pro nováčky jednoduché, a to i na mobilních zařízeních.

V minulosti již určité typy editací byly strukturovány. Například, přidávání odkazů skrz HotCat. Přemýšlíme, jak by se dalo strukturovat editování i dalších článků.

Prosím, navštivte projektovou stránku, a vyjádřete se v rámci komunitní konzultace. Budeme rádi, pokud tento projekt ukážete i dalším členům vaší komunity. Budeme také rádi, pokud přeložíte naše materiály do dalších jazyků, aby se mohlo připojit ještě více lidí. Konzultace bude probíhat až do 18. června.

Rozšíření na další projekty

Projekty týmu Growth jsou již na šesti dalších wiki, a hledáme další komunity, které projekty týmu Growth zaujaly.

Během posledních dvou měsíců jsme nasadili projekty týmu Growth na těchto šest projektů: ukrajinská, srbská, maďarská, arménská a baskické Wikipedie, plus francouzský Wikislovník. Nováčci z těchto projektů již uložili přes 600 editací.

Chceme naše projekty dostat ještě na další projekty, a budeme rádi, když se nám ozvou další komunity. Připravuje se například nasazení našich projektů na francouzskou Wikipedii.

Další informace

Nováčci si v editačních tipech mohou vybírat z 39 témat

Pokračujeme ve vylepšování Editačních tipů a Domovské stránky.

• V březnu jsme aktualizovali algoritmus používaný pro výběr témat Editačních tipů. Nová verze nabízí 39 různých témat za použití nových ORES modelů.
• V dubnu jsme dokončili A/B testování dvou konfigurací Domovské stránky. Zjistili jsme, že nováčci budou více plnit editační tipy, pokud jsou tou hlavní součástí Domovské stránky. V našem dalším testu tyto zjištění implementujeme. Viz také kompletní výsledky.
• Momentálně pracujeme na průvodci pro Editační tipy. Ten bude používat panel Potřebuji pomoc, aby nováčky provedl jednoduchými editacemi.
• Naším dalším krokem je vyzkoušet ještě několik dalších verzí Domovské stránky. Cílem je přimět co největší množství nováčků, aby se pustili do Editačních tipů.

Nedávné změny

• Pokud zapomenete heslo, můžete si na e-mail nechat poslat nové. K tomu potřebujete znát svou e-mailovou adresu nebo své uživatelské jméno. Nyní si v nastavení můžete vybrat, aby byla požadována znalost obojího. Tímto se sníží počet požadavků na obnovu hesla, o které žádá někdo jiný. Funkce je nyní dostupná na všech projektech Wikimedia. [49][50]

Problémy

• Chyba způsobuje problémy uživatelům, kteří mají iPhone s iOS 13 a Safari. Pokud pro čtení nebo editaci Wikipedie používáte iPhone a vidíte na mobilním webu problémy, můžete je nahlásit. [51]
• Některé projekty včetně Wikidat bude kvůli údržbě databáze dne 19. května kolem 05:00 UTC po dobu několika minut možné pouze číst. Na anglické Wikipedii proběhne to samé 21. května v 05:00 UTC. [52][53]

Změny tento týden

• Aplikace Wikipedia pro Android umožňuje uživatelům přidávat na Commons „zobrazuje“. Beta verze využívala strojové učení. Tato funkce byla odstraněna, aby byla tvrzení specifičtější. [54]
• Tento týden nebude nasazena nová verze MediaWiki.

Budoucí změny

• Grafy se budou renderovat v prohlížeči čtenáře pomocí JavaScriptu. Díky tomu snad budou fungovat lépe těm, kteří používají JavaScript, ovšem přestanou fungovat těm, kteří ho nepoužívají. [55]
• Některé kaskádové styly vzhledů byly zjenodušeny. Toto se týká div#p-personal, div#p-navigation, div#p-interaction, div#p-tb, div#p-lang, div#p-namespaces, div#p-variants a div#footer, z nichž bude nutné odstranit div. Vaše udělátka, skripty a uživatelské styly bude nutné aktualizovat. Díky tomu budeme moct používat HTML5. [56]

• Vizuální editor bude odteď fungovat i ve vzhledu Moderní. Změny, které pro to bylo nutné provést, mohly způsobit problémy s některými skripty nebo udělátky. [57]
• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 26. května nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 27. května. Na všech wiki bude od 28. května (kalendář).

• Tool of the week
  • wdumps allows you to create a limited RDF dump from Wikidata, for those times when your SPARQL queries keep timing out. It is not particularly user-friendly, and it typically takes several hours to get a complete dump, but it is the best way to for example get a list of all English names of humans in Wikidata, or a list of every scientific article with its title and DOI.

Nedávné změny

• Je dostupná nová verze aplikace Wikimedia Commons pro Android. Při prohlížení obrázků je lze přibližovat. Při nahrání obrázku se souřadnicemi se navrhnou místa. [58]

Problémy

• Dne 27. května nebylo kvůli problému s databází možné 8 minut editovat Commons. Kvůli tomu byla databáze 29. května přesunuta, což na krátkou dobu opět znemožnilo editace. [59][60][61]
• Ve vzhledu Vektor nebylo možné přidávat odkazy na články v ostatních jazycích. Dotčený oddíl se nezobrazoval, pokud stránka ještě neodkazovala na ostatní jazyky. Také se nezobrazovaly odkazy na překlad obsahu a jazyková nastavení. Problém je nyní vyřešen. [62]

Změny tento týden

• Když někdo odkazuje na stránku, kterou jste vytvořili, můžete dostávat upozornění. Tato upozornění si můžete vypnout pro jednotlivé stránky. Brzy si je také budete moct vypnout přímo z upozornění, která dostanete. [63]

[upozornění] Udělátko Bezpečný rychlý revert je zastaralé

Zdravím,

touto zprávou bych vás rád upozornil, že udělátko Bezpečný rychlý revert je zastaralé. Stejnou funkcionalitu umožňuje i MediaWiki v základu. Tato funkce se dá aktivovat v nastavení na kartě Vzhled, pod Zobrazit žádost o potvrzení při kliknutí na odkaz pro rychlé vrácení editace.

Je možné, že udělátko přestane kdykoliv bez upozornění fungovat, či bude smazáno jakožto nahraditelné. Jakékoliv otázky je možné klást na technické Pod lípě.

Nedávné změny

• Některé články obsahují tabulky, které lze řadit podle určitých kritérií. Například seznam států může být seřazen podle abecedy, ale kliknutím na sloupec s rozlohou ho lze seřadit podle rozlohy. Každé další kliknutí na sloupec s rozlohou otočilo pořadí zdola nahoru. Odteď třetí kliknutí obnoví původní řazení. [64]
• Sebeuzavírající značky se odteď budou chovat podle specifikace HTML5. Příkladem takové značky je <b/>, místo které by se měla používat <b>. Stránky s touto chybou byly od roku 2016 řazeny do údržbové kategorie. Nyní jejich seznam najdete na Special:LintErrors/self-closed-tag. Toto se netýká <references /> ani <ref />. [65]
• Na Wikicestách, katalánské, baskické, galicijské a turecké Wikipedii a dalších wiki se zobrazuje banner zvaný WikidataPageBanner. Dosud se zobrazoval pouze čtenářům na desktopu, odteď ho uvidí i čtenáři na mobilních zařízeních. Dotčeným wiki je doporučeno aktualizovat instrukce ohledně MediaWiki:Sitenotice, aby se zohledňovala i mobilní zařízení. [66][67]

Změny tento týden

• Popisy seznamů příjemců hromadných zpráv nyní můžete editovat přes API. To nalezne uplatnění v nástrojích a udělátkách. [68]
• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 9. června nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 10. června. Na všech wiki bude od 11. června (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Provizorní oprava z roku 2012 umožnila, aby hlavní stránky wiki měly na mobilech lepší vzhled. Její použití nebylo doporučeno od roku 2017 a přestane fungovat k 13. červenci. Místo ní by wiki měly používat TemplateStyles. Nápravu potřebuje 118 wiki. Můžete si přečíst více a zjistit, zda se to týká i vaší wiki. [69]

• Development
  • Collecting a lot of feedback and doing research around how to improve our APIs to start making it easier to access Wikidata's data for programmers
  • Finalized the initial feature list for the query builder and working on designs and prototypes for testing
  • Doing user research on the Merge gadget to prepare for making it part of the proper code-base so that other Wikibase instances also benefit from easier merging
  • Federated Properties: continued working on the first version of Federation that will make it possible to use Wikidata's Properties in another Wikibase installation

Recent changes

• Na Toolforge je provozováno mnoho nástrojů vytvořených komunitou Wikimedia, jako jsou počítadla editací nebo vylepšené editory. Jeho doména se mění z tools.wmflabs.org na toolforge.org a adresní schéma se mění z tools.wmflabs.org/nastroj na nastroj.toolforge.org. Můžete si přečíst podrobnosti. Nástroje, které používají OAuth, bude nutné aktualizovat, aby fungovaly i nadále. Můžete požádat o pomoc.

Problémy

• Na mnoha stránkách je v postranní liště odkaz na položku Wikidat. Kvůli chybě se několik dní nezobrazoval uživatelům používajícím vzhled Monobook. Problém je nyní vyřešen. [70]
• Minulý týden krátkou dobu nefungovaly správně editování, přihlašování a odhlašování. Problém byl brzy vyřešen. [71]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 16. června nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 17. června. Na všech wiki bude od 18. června (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Pywikibot, knihovna Pythonu, která automatizuje činnost na wiki, už nebude po červencové verzi podporovat Python 2. Ukončena bude také podpora Pythonu 3.4 a MediaWiki verze starší než 1.19. Je doporučeno přejít na Python 3. Můžete požádat o pomoc. [72]
• Ve vzhledu Vektor již nebudou fungovat selektory .menu a .vectorMenu, což může ovlivnit udělátka a uživatelské skripty. .menu by měl být nahrazen ul a .vectorMenu by měl být nahrazen .vector-menu. [73]

Průvodce k editačním tipům je již k dispozici

Milé kolegyně, milí kolegové,

jak jsem již psal v předchozích newsletterech, tým Growth v posledních dnech připravoval průvodce k Editačním tipům, aby pro nováčky bylo jednodušší editacemi přispívat, a nemuseli nápovědu hledat po celé Wikipedii.

V tuto chvíli se nováčkům po otevření článku z Editačních tipů otevře průvodce s několika málo tipy, které by si před editacemi měl přečíst, a které obsahují užitečné informace. Věříme, že to nováčkům usnadní editování, a že nám tu tak zůstane nováčků o to více.

Ocenil bych, kdybyste si našli pár minutek, a nástroj si vyzkoušeli. Pokud jste tak ještě neučinili, je třeba si v nastavení zapnout Domovskou stránku (karta Údaje o uživateli, ve spodní části stránky, Zobrazit Domovskou stránku nováčka). Poté se přepnete na svou domovskou stránku, a v části Editačních tipů si kliknete na libovolný článek. Můžete si i vybrat, jaký typ úkolu byste zrovna chtěli - a posoudit tak průvodce ve všech jeho variantách.

• Na některých wiki jsou dostupné nové nástroje, které nováčkům usnadňují začít editovat. Na těchto wiki se minulý týden kvůli chybě v nových nástrojích na krátkou dobu objevil problém s vizuálním editorem. Problém byl brzy vyřešen. [74]
• Některé uživatelské skripty a udělátka přestaly fungovat kvůli změně v CSS selektorech. Opravíte je nahrazením .vectorTabs selektorem .vector-menu-tabs. [75]

• Vývojáři pracují na novém rozhraní řešení editačních konfliktů na diskusních stránkách. To bude nasazeno 24. června. Můžete poskytnout zpětnou vazbu. [76]

• Development
  • It is now possible to search for EntitySchema pages using a shortcut “E:”, similar to “P:” for Properties and “L:” for Lexemes. For example: E:E10 or E:kakapo. T245529
  • Continued working on the first version of Federation, which will allow other Wikibase installations to use Wikidata's Properties - getting closer to a first testable version
  • More work on consistency of user interface components
  • Finalizing the click-dummy for the first version of the Query Builder so we can start testing it with some editors soon and get feedback.
  • Continuing to investigate how to improve our APIs and other ways to improve access to the data in Wikidata for programmers
  • Discussed the future of the Wikidata Query Service and ideas for next steps we can take to make it scale better. Guillaume will join the next office hour to talk about it.
  • More work on clearer separation of Wikibase repository and Wikibase client code in order to improve maintainability

Poslední technické novinky z technické komunity Wikimedia. Prosíme, informujte o těchto změnách ostatní uživatele. Některé změny se vás netýkají. K dispozici jsou i další překlady.

Problémy

• Všichni uživatelé museli být odhlášeni, protože několika uživatelům se zobrazovala wiki, jako by byli přihlášení v cizím účtu. Problém by nyní měl být vyřešen. [78]
• Některým čtenářům se nezobrazovaly nové editace stránek. Pokud byla stránka nedávno upravena, zobrazila se jim starší verze. Toto se týkalo pouze nepřihlášených čtenářů. Chyba se projevovala deset dní. Problém je nyní vyřešen. [79]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 30. června nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 1. července. Na všech wiki bude od 1. července (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Ve vzhledech Moderní a Monobook má tlačítko Jít na stránku identifikátor searchGoButton, zatímco ve Vektoru searchButton. Aby byl ve všech vzhledech stejný, sjednotí se na searchButton. Toto bude mít vliv na udělátka a uživatelské skripty, které musí používat searchButton. Ke změně dojde 23. července. Můžete si přečíst více a podívat se na seznam dotčených skriptů.

Editační tipy budou nově preferovat vizuální editor

Milé kolegyně, milí kolegové,

tým Growth Nadace Wikimedia před časem na českou Wikipedii nasadil Editační tipy, které mají nováčkům doporučit úkoly, kterým by se mohli věnovat. Zároveň jim poskytuje tipy potřebné k tomu, aby nováčci úkol bezchybně dokončili.

Na projektu i nadále pracujeme, a tento týden bude nasazena změna, díky které se bude nováčkům vždy otvírat při kliknutí na editační tip vizuální editor, a to i na mobilu (kde je doposud wikitextový editor jako výchozí). To by mělo usnadnit nováčkům plnění editačních tipů i na mobilu, což je zvláště pro některé země, kde nejsou počítače tolik rozšířené, velmi důležité.

Rád bych vás proto všechny požádal, abyste při odpovídání na otázky nováčků používali výhradně návody a odkazy vhodné pro vizuální editor, abychom nováčka nezmátli ještě víc .

• Rozšíření Score je nyní kvůli bezpečnostnímu problému vypnuté. Fungovat bude hned, jakmile bude problém vyřešen. [80]

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 7. července nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 8. července. Na všech wiki bude od 9. července (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Abstraktní Wikipedie je nový projekt nadace Wikimedia. Bude shromažďovat na jazyce nezávislé informace, které bude snadné číst v různých jazycích, a bude založen na Wikidatech. Název projektu je předběžný. Můžete si přečíst více. [81]
• Vývojáři aplikace Wikipedia pro iOS uvažují o nových experimentálních nástrojích. Pokud máte iPhone, můžete jim pomoct vyplněním dotazníku.
• Některá pravidla pro uživatelské podpisy budou zanedlouho vynucována. Chyby nalezené lintem a neplatné HTML v uživatelských podpisech už nebudou dovoleny, stejně jako vnořená substituce. Bude vyžadován odkaz na vaši uživatelskou stránku, diskusní stránku nebo seznam příspěvků. Můžete si zkontrolovat, zda váš podpis odpovídá novým požadavkům. Nedávné změny

• Uživatelé mohou ostatním děkovat za jejich editace. Revizoři (checkusers) nyní uvidí údaje související s touto činností, aby mohli identifikovat loutky obtěžující touto funkcí ostatní uživatele. [82]

Problémy

• Před několika týdny byli kvůli bezpečnostnímu problému všichni odhlášeni. Protože se tento problém nepodařilo úplně vyřešit, byli minulý týden všichni znovu odhlášeni. [83][84]

Změny tento týden

• Wiki, které nejsou omezeny na jeden konkrétní jazyk, mohou používat nástroj na překládání stránek. Občas jsou některé překlady zastaralé nebo úplně chybějí. Zastaralé překlady jsou zvýrazněny růžovým pozadím. V budoucnu budou označovány i chybějící překlady. Tyto značky mohou někdy stránky rozbít, proto je brzy bude možné zakázat použitím <translate nowrap></translate> ve zdrojové stránce. [85]
• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 14. července nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 15. července. Na všech wiki bude od 16. července (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Wikimedia plánuje pro proces posuzování kódu používat GitLab, který by nainstalovala na svoje servery. [86][87][88][89]

Nedávné změny

• Provizorní oprava z roku 2012 umožnila, aby hlavní stránky wiki měly na mobilech lepší vzhled. Její použití nebylo doporučeno od roku 2017 a ke 14. červenci přestala fungovat. 60 wiki nyní používá hlavní stranu, která se na mobilech nezobrazuje dobře. Které to jsou, jak to opravit a kde získat pomoc, zjistíte ve Phabricatoru. Jde o stejnou záležitost, kterou Technické novinky oznámily ve vydáních 2020/24 a 2020/26.

Problémy

• Nastal problém s mezijazykovými odkazy, tedy odkazy, které umožňují nalézt určitou stránku v jiném jazyce. Jejich řazení je rozbité. Vývojáři pracují na řešení. [90]
• Někteří uživatelé dostávají opakovaná upozornění na tu samou událost. Některá z nich upozorňují na velmi staré události. [91]
• Někteří uživatelé mají problém s přihlášením. Příčinou jsou pravděpodobně prohlížečová cookies. Vývojáři se nyní snaží porozumět problému. Pokud máte problémy s přihlašováním, ve Phabricatoru se dozvíte podrobnosti. [92]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 21. července nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 22. července. Na všech wiki bude od 23. července (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Nástroj Verze k tisku bude odstraněn. Dnešní webové prohlížeče umí vytvořit verzi k tisku nebo zobrazit, jak se stránka vytiskne. [93]

Nedávné změny

• Pro wiki komunity je nyní dostupný startovací balíček. Stránka obsahuje seznam technických prostředků, nástrojů a doporučení, které jsou nezbytné pro běh projektu. Jsou určeny hlavně pro menší wiki, jejichž komunity mají s těmito záležitostmi menší zkušenosti. [94]
• První funkce projektu vylepšení vzhledu pro desktop jsou dostupné na všech wiki pro přihlášené uživatele. Abyste je mohli používat, zrušte Použít starý Vektor ve svých lokálních nebo globálních nastaveních v sekci Nastavení vzhledu. Plánována jsou i další vylepšení. Zpětná vazba je vítána.
• Na několika wiki je dostupné udělátko UTCLiveClock. Na těch, které je importují přímo z mediawiki.org, si mohou uživatelé vybrat jiné časové pásmo než UTC.

Problémy

• Nasazování nové verze MediaWiki bylo minulý týden pozastaveno. [95][96]
• Translation Notification Bot posílal každému překladateli tu samou zprávu vícekrát. Problém je nyní vyřešen. [97]
• Někteří uživatelé dostávali stejné upozornění vícekrát. Problém je nyní vyřešen. [98]

Nástroj pro odpověď bude brzy nasazen na české Wikipedii

Milé kolegyně, milí kolegové,

tým Editing Nadace Wikimedia vyvíjí nástroj pro odpověď, který výrazně nováčkům zjednoduší přispívání do diskusí. V každé diskusi se pak objeví tlačítko odpovědět, který vyvolá editor, kde můžete snadno napsat svou odpověď.

Příští týden je v plánu tento nástroj nasadit na českou Wikipedii jako beta funkci - pouze uživatelé, kteří si funkci aktivují v nastavení, ji budou moci využívat. Tuto funkci si můžete vyzkoušet prostřednictvím tohoto odkazu. K plánu nasazení se můžete vyjádřit pod technickou lípou.

Než bude tento nástroj nasazen pro všechny nováčky (zatím není známo, kdy tak bude), můžou si mentoři (i kdokoliv jiný) vložit tlačítko Aktivovat nástroj pro odpověď, a to pomocí šablony {{Nástroj pro odpověď}}. V případě, že si všimnete jakékoliv chyby nástroje, prosím, napište mi, anebo vytvořte hlášení na Phabricatoru.

• Development
  • The last week was our quarterly prototyping week. We worked on the following projects. None of them are ready for prime-time yet but we'll continue with them.
    • Slices: We've had a lot of requests for accessing dumps of a smaller part of Wikidata's data since rarely anyone needs the complete data in Wikidata. The tricky part is figuring out which part is needed and if any of that can be generalized. We looked into for example how to make dump generation faster so we could potentially produce more smaller dumps that only cover a part of Wikidata's data, either thematically (e.g. humans) or by type of data (e.g. only statements and English labels and aliases but not sitelinks or descriptions).
    • REST API: As part of our effort to make it easier to access Wikidata's data for programmers we looked into a REST API. We tried to see if we could cover the existing action API modules in a REST API. We could. We'll take this as input for our ongoing API work now.
    • Improving quality ratings through ORES: ORES can judge the quality of an Item automatically. It is currently not very good at it however. We tried a few things to make it more accurate and found some easy wins we'll probably make happen in the next weeks.
    • Query manipulator: One of the ways we could potentially improve the load situation of the Wikidata Query Service is by automatically analyzing and then redirecting a bunch of queries to other systems that are more suitable for that particular type of query. The nice thing about that would be that the person/program sending the query wouldn't have to care about it but it'd be done automagically for them. We tried to build such a system and the results look very promising but more work/experimenting is needed, especially together with the WMF Search team.

Problémy

• Ve čtvrtek 23. července od 17:50 do 17:59 (UTC) selhaly všechny dotazy na Wikidata Query Service. Některé dotazy selhávaly delší dobu. [99]
• Několik předchozích týdnů byly mezijazykové odkazy uspořádány nesprávně. Tento problém byl také zmíněn v Technických novinkách před dvěma týdny. Problém je nyní vyřešen. [100]
• V globálních nastaveních je problém s volbou „Použít starý Vektor“. Vývojáři pracují na opravě. [101]
• Chyba v rozšíření Wikibase znemožnila zamykat vytváření a přejmenování stránek v hlavním jmenném prostoru (Gallery) na Wikimedia Commons. Nebylo možné nastavit nový zámek a dosavadní zámky nefungovaly, kvůli čemuž mohlo dojít k přesunům nebo vytvoření stránek, ke kterým dojít nemělo. Problém je nyní vyřešen. [102]

Změny tento týden

• Přehrávač videí bude jednodušší a modernější. Tento týden bude současná funkce v beta verzi spuštěna pro všechny na většině wiki kromě Wikipedií. Starý přehrávač bude odstraněn. [103]
• Na mobilním webu se odteď budou načítat uživatelské stránky global.js a global.css. Můžete si přečíst dokumentaci, jak se vyhnout použití stylů na mobilní vzhled. [104]
• Ve vzhledu MonoBook je nyní starý identifikátor searchGoButton vyměněn nový searchButton. To může ovlivnit udělátka s CSS a JavaScriptem. Pokyny k migraci naleznete v T255953. Toto již bylo zmíněno ve vydání 27.
• Operátoři robotů mohou používat Pywikibota k pravidelné archivaci diskuzí. Bylo změněno chování, když robot používá čítač counter, aby se zabránilo velkým archivům. [105]
• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 4. srpna nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 5. srpna. Na všech wiki bude od 6. srpna (kalendář).

[důležité] Panel Potřebuji pomoc brzy začne využívat přiřazeného mentora

Milé kolegyně, milí kolegové,

jak nejspíše víte, Panel Potřebuji pomoc umožňuje nováčkům klást otázky, se kterými si sami nevědí rady, a to zároveň při editování článku. Zkušenosti týmu Growth Nadace Wikimedia zároveň ukazují, že nováčci mají větší tendenci klást otázky, pokud vědí, kdo je na druhé straně obrazovky – tj. mechanismus přiřazeného mentora funguje lépe, než zeptám se "prostě někoho z Wikipedie"

Z tohoto důvodu se Nadace Wikimedia rozhodla vyzkoušet, jak bude fungovat, když panel Potřebuji pomoc bude otázky posílat přiřazenému mentorovi namísto toho, aby byla otázka zodpovězena na stránce Potřebuji pomoc. Jelikož mentorství funguje nejlépe na české Wikipedii, byla pro tento experiment vybrána právě ta.

TLDR: Pro mentory tato změna bude znamenat, že obdrží o něco málo otázek více, než doposud.

Nedávné změny

• V prvním srpnovém týdnu se Importér a Exportér souborů staly na všech wiki standardními funkcemi. Tyto funkce usnadňují přesun lokálních souborů na Wikimedia Commons a přitom zachovávají informace o původním souboru, včetně jeho historie. [106]

Problémy

• V mobilním vzhledu se dole na stránce zobrazuje, kdo stránky upravil naposled. V této zprávě se objevoval neinterpretovaný wikitext. Problém je nyní vyřešen. V některých hlášeních ve strukturovaných diskusích a nástroji pro překlad se však stále může vyskytovat. Vývojáři pracují na opravě. [107]

Změny tento týden

• Nová verze MediaWiki bude 11. srpna nasazena na testovací wiki a na MediaWiki.org. Na všechny wiki kromě Wikipedií a některé z nich bude nasazena 12. srpna. Na všech wiki bude od 13. srpna (kalendář).

Budoucí změny

• Dne 1. září budou všechny wiki několik minut v režimu pouze pro čtení. Dojde k tomu mezi 13:30 a 15:30 UTC. Další informace budou v následujících týdnech uveřejněny v Technických novinkách a také rozeslány na jednotlivé wiki. [108][109]

• Pokud revertujete editaci pomocí funkce zrušit editaci, vaše editace je označena značkou vrácení zpět. Odteď bude takto označena pouze, pokud v editačním okně před zveřejněním nic nezměníte. Tímto bude uživatelům zabráněno označovat editace jako vrácení zpět, když ve skutečnosti dělají něco jiného. [110]
• Nová verze OOUI nebude fungovat v Internet Exploreru 8. Kvůli tomu v něm wiki budou vypadat divně a nebudou funkční. Toto již bylo uvedeno ve vydání 2020/17. Dochází k tomu proto, že zajišťování funkčnosti wiki ve velmi starých prohlížečích způsobuje jiné problémy. [111]
